Challenge:    Promote the Dos XX brand by creating buzz around an exclusive event.

Solution:    Dos Equis brand ambassadors offered exclusive event invitations consumers in the New York metro area. To receive the party invitation, consumers were asked to send a text message to a Dos Equis shortcode.

To build excitement for the events, Dos Equis sent periodic text message blasts to their opt-in database of consumers.

Two weeks before the event, party guests received an exclusive text message with the exact time and location of the party. To attend the event, party guests showed their mobile phones at the door.
